Welcome to the County Alcohol and Drug Program, a Division of the Department of Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Services (ADMHS)! We hope you will find our web site a helpful resource and that you will feel encouraged working with us to prevent and reduce the impact of unsafe or illegal use of alcohol and other drugs in our county.

Under the leadership of James L. Broderick, PhD, Director of ADMHS, and Al Rodriguez, Manager for SBADP, we are interested in being responsive to all residents and population areas of Santa Barbara County. Our responsiveness is based on the forming of SBADP's staff "team" recruited from the alcohol and other drug prevention and treatment services field. Calling upon local community advocates, including the Advisory Board on Alcohol and Other Drug Problems frequently enhances this team. These advocates are equally passionate in their commitment to the development of a local service system that is responsive, accountable, prevention-focused, and sensitive to the needs of individuals, families and communities in need of effective treatment services.

Join us in our journey to make the Santa Barbara County Alcohol and Other Drug services system the very best that it can be.
